An heirloom grain with roots dating back to the 1690s. It came to the US when a ship from Madagascar stopped in Charleston, South Carolina for repairs and made payment in the form of rice. Carolina Gold White Rice has unique cooking properties which allow the end product to range from defined grains to a more gummy consistency depending on cooking method and personal preference.
